California Riverside Ballet’s mission is to present the finest in classical and contemporary ballet to the community; therefore, we have developed a comprehensive Educational and Community Outreach Program.
This program provides the opportunity to experience the world of ballet through performance and a variety of activities presented as individual lectures, classes and workshops tailored to meet the specific needs of schools, low income senior citizen groups, disabled and abused children and many other groups that otherwise would not have the opportunity to experience the art of ballet.
These programs and activities demonstrate to those less fortunate that another world out there– a world where discipline of mind and body brings beauty and art that truly enriches individual lives as well as the greater community.
Bringing our programs and productions to the underserved inspires not only the dreams of children but hundreds of volunteers who make these programs possible.
Through the generosity of the greater Riverside community, CRB’s Education and Community Outreach Program has provided free children’s performances to thousands of children for more than 20 years.

California Riverside Ballet’s Academy Program offers affordable ballet training to male and female students ages 7-10. Tuition is determined by family household income and full scholarships are available. Ballet training teaches young people the benefits of self-discipline, determination & focus as well as an appreciation for classical music and the arts. Each class is accompanied by a live pianist. Students may enroll in monthly increments.
The Academy Program is available at the Riverside Arts Academy at the Cesar Chavez Community Center, Arlanza Community Center, and Villegas Community Center and is funded in part by E. Rhodes & Leona B. Carpenter Foundation.
